The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) stands as a pillar of India’s security infrastructure, protecting critical industrial hubs, airports, metro networks, nuclear installations, and vital coastal regions. From safeguarding India’s economic lifelines to ensuring the security of millions, CISF remains unwavering in its mission. With India’s 7,500 km coastline playing a crucial role in trade, economy, and defense, CISF also stands at the forefront of coastal security, protecting key ports, maritime infrastructure, and fostering trust among coastal communities.
As a testament to its unity, resilience, and commitment to national security, CISF is organizing the CISF Cyclothon 2025—more than just a ride, it’s a mission on wheels, a journey of endurance to reinforce security across land, sea, and industry. The event will be inaugurated by Hon’ble Home Minister Amit Shah, setting the stage for this incredible journey of strength and solidarity.
100 fearless cyclists will trace India’s coastline from West Bengal to Gujarat, passing through diverse landscapes and vibrant communities. Every mile covered and every stop made will echo a powerful message: security is a shared responsibility.
This ride blends endurance with purpose, uniting security forces, local communities, and supporters in an unbreakable chain of awareness. At every stop, CISF’s role beyond coastal security—in protecting airports, industrial zones, and critical infrastructure—will be highlighted, reinforcing its impact on the nation’s safety and economic strength.
The grand finale in Kanyakumari will not only mark the completion of this incredible journey but also a new beginning—one where communities, citizens, and CISF stand stronger together in protecting not just our coasts, but our nation’s future.
Join us as CISF Cyclothon 2025 pedals towards a safer, more resilient India!
For over five decades, CISF has stood as an unyielding shield, securing India’s vital gateways—ports, airports, refineries, shipyards, and nuclear power plants, amongst others.
On its 56th Foundation Day, CISF embarks on a historic mission—its first-ever Coastal Cyclothon, themed “ सुरक्षित तट, समृद्ध भारत ”, a powerful symbol of its pledge to protect India’s shores and drive national prosperity.
With sheer determination and a spirit of service, over 100 CISF personnel will ride 6,553 km across India’s vast coastline, from Lakhpat in the West to Bakkhali in the East, covering 11 states/UTs, before concluding at the revered Swami Vivekananda Memorial in Kanyakumari. To be flagged off by Hon’ble Home Minister Shri Amit Shah on March 7, 2025, this cyclothon is more than just a test of endurance—it is a movement to strengthen national security awareness among coastal communities and alert them about the dangers of drug smuggling and illicit activities.
As the path stretches ahead, history and heroism will converge. The journey will weave through iconic landmarks and sites of India’s freedom struggle, paying homage to the sacrifices that shaped our nation. Along the way, the riders will meet and honor the families of martyrs, saluting their courage and legacy. Through social media, we will explore the Great Indian Coast, its vibrant communities, diverse flora & fauna, and more. Join the rally in person or virtually to witness and be part of this inspiring journey.
This is more than just a cyclothon—it is a testament to the courage, dedication, and indomitable spirit of CISF. With every mile, every pedal, and every heartbeat, the CISF team reaffirms its mission to serve the nation and inspire all citizens towards a secure and prosperous Bharat.
